Fee, contract terms & jersey number: The details as Bryan Zaragoza joins Bayern Munich

An insight into some of the finer details surrounding Bryan Zaragoza’s move from Granada to Bayern Munich has been forthcoming this evening.

This comes after the transfer, at long last, was made official.

On the back of an injury suffered by Kingsley Coman last week, word was swiftly forthcoming that the transfer team at the aforementioned Bayern had kicked negotiations back into gear with their Granada counterparts, over Zaragoza.

The Bavarians agreed a deal for the wide-man back in December, which was due to see the 22-year-old take his talents to the Allianz Arena with a view to next season.

Suddenly short on options on the wing, however, Bayern, in turn, swooped to move the transfer forward by six months.

And, this evening, the German champions have managed precisely that.

As per a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms:

‘Bryan Zaragoza has moved from Granada CF to FC Bayern with immediate effect’.

The transfer comes in the form of an initial loan, which will be followed by Zaragoza’s arrival becoming permanent, as per the initial terms of the December deal struck with Granada.

The talented Spaniard’s contract in Bavaria is set to run through the summer of 2029.

On top of the initial fee agreed upon for his services, Bayern have forked out an extra €4 million to bring Zaragoza in early.

The once-capped international will don the number 17 jersey, featuring the name ‘Bryan’, during his stint in Germany.
