The wife of Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has taken to social media on Tuesday, to launch a defence of a fellow member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
The player in question? Rodrygo.
Attacker Rodrygo has of course endured something of a difficult last couple of weeks in Spain’s capital.
After being heavily criticised for his performance in the Copa del Rey final, the Brazilian then sat out against Celta Vigo owing to a bout of illness, before being left on the bench for the entirety of the 90 minutes in this past weekend’s El Clásico.
Carlo Ancelotti assured post-match that as much came owing to the after effects of his sickness, but it has since been revealed that Rodrygo is in fact injured once more.
Such uncertainty has culminated in mounting claims that the 24-year-old could be on the move this summer, ahead of the imminent arrival of Xabi Alonso.
And as alluded to above, in the thick of one of the most difficult stretches of his Real Madrid career to date, Rodrygo has on Tuesday received some timely backing.
Taking to the comments section of a social media post highlighting the winger’s latest fitness setback, Mina, wife of Blancos star Federico Valverde, wrote:
‘You never know the battles a player is going through, they are human beings. Respect.’
