Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal, which commits him to the club until 2029. In his new deal, Valverde will see his salary increase and his release clause rise to €1B.
Valverde becomes the latest Madrid player to extend his deal, with team-mates Eduardo Camavinga, Rodrygo and Vinícius committing to new deals recently.
The Uruguay international joined Los Blancos in July 2016 when he was just 18 years old. In his six seasons at the club, he has played 220 matches, operating in central midfield and on the right flank.
During his time at the club, the 25-year-old has scored 19 goals and won nine trophies including the Champions League, two Club World Cups, the European Super Cup, two league titles, the Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups.
This season, the midfielder has further cemented his importance to the first team, making 16 appearances and grabbing three goal contributions in the process.
