The father of a headline member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Monday assured that his son remains more than happy at the club.
The player in question? Ansu Fati.
The name of wide-man Ansu has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines at Barcelona over the course of the last week.
As much comes after the 21-year-old, fresh off a hugely underwhelming loan stint away from the Blaugrana, linked back up with his parent club for pre-season training.
Barcelona’s plans for Ansu have long marked a source of contention amongst those associated with the club, with supporters desperate for their gifted young attacker to be afforded another chance, but the board understood to be giving consideration to a summer sale.
In the midst of as much, a number of clubs are understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation, hopeful of luring the Spanish international away on a fresh loan for next season.
Departing Barcelona’s training base on Monday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his son’s future was put to the aforementioned Bori Fati.
And, in his response, Bori appeared altogether positive regarding prospects moving forward, in simply assuring that:
‘We are very happy.’
