Facundo Pellistri set to join Granada from Manchester United

Facundo Pellistri is expected to join Granada in the coming days, according to Mundo Deportivo. There were said to be multiple clubs interested in the 22-year-old, including Sevilla and PSV, but fellow Uruguayan Alexander Medina, now the manager at the Andalucian club, is believed to have convinced the winger to join his side as they look to escape relegation.

Pellistri has found playing time at Manchester United hard to come by despite the poor form of Anthony and Marcus Rashford and the continued support of Uruguayan national team manager Marcelo Bielsa, who continues to rely on the winger.

Pellistri will be Granada’s fifth signing of the January transfer market should he ultimately make the move, with Granda currently five points from safety.
