A former member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has moved to send a message of support to a current Blaugrana star, owing to his exploits en route to Spain clinching glory at Euro 2024.
Lamine Yamal, of course, is fresh off playing a central role in his nation bagging their latest silverware on the international stage.
Afforded a starting berth in Sunday’s Euros showpiece between Spain and England, the 17-year-old laid on the assist for Nico Williams’ opener, en route to an eventual 2-1 La Roja triumph.
This rounded out what proved a breakout tournament for Lamine at international level, as viewers across the globe were afforded a glimpse of what those of a Barcelona persuasion have long known.
The wing wizard, in turn, was quick to take to his social channels post-match, to celebrate his country’s achievement.
In a post on Instagram, Lamine wrote:
‘Indescribable feeling, looking forward to being able to celebrate it all together. WE ARE CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE’
And, as alluded to above, as much has since been responded to by a Barcelona attacking prodigy of years past.
Taking to the comments section of Lamine’s post, Neymar unveiled a simple reply, in the form of a clapping hands emoji:
