Eric García: “In terms of effectiveness, Robert Lewandowski reminds me of Luis Suárez.”

In an interview with Catalan radio station RAC1, Eric García discussed Robert Lewandowski’s role in the team and and what he expects from Barcelona’s upcoming fixture against Bayern Munich.

The 21-year-old defender praised the Polish striker’s performance in the Blaugrana shirt so far:

“He has surprised me a lot. He talks a lot, he helps his team-mates and tells you what he’s going to do before it happens, so you have to be attentive. With a player that possesses his traits, you don’t have to decide much. Players of such a high level, they adapt everywhere. He is a spectacular striker.”

“The ease with which he scores and the pass he gave to Pedri with his heel show that players of his calibre have something different. In terms of his effectiveness, he reminds me of Luis Suárez,” he added.

García believes that their game against Bayern Munich will be difficult:

“It will be a complicated game and it will be evenly matched. We both want to have the ball, we both want to press high. They have a very complete squad, we have to go out with our personality and our game plan.”
