Eduardo Camavinga to stay at Real Madrid

Eduardo Camavinga will not be leaving Real Madrid to join Arsenal or Chelsea, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“There’s no truth. Of course, every club in the world would want him, but he’s very happy in Real Madrid and Real Madrid are very happy with Camavinga,” Camavinga’s agent Joshua Barnett told Romano.

In La Liga 2022-23, Camavinga has played 16 times for Los Blancos, providing one assist. The 20-year-old midfielder has a contract at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2027.

Carlo Ancelotti on Eduardo Camavinga to Arsenal rumours

“He’s untouchable, like Modrić and Kroos,” Ancelotti said in his press conference on Saturday morning.

Camavinga’s main challenge is to establish himself as a starter. Ancelotti loves having him as an option off the bench and has said: “He is a player who has a great influence on games when he comes on because of his energy”.

The France international is not entirely convinced by this role though, however, when Ancelotti starts him he is usually one of the first players to be taken off.
