La Liga giants Barcelona have been informed of the financial outlay which would be required to secure the signing of LOSC Lille star Jonathan David.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the situation.
The name of prolific frontman David has of course dominated the headlines across the continent over recent weeks.
As much comes as leading clubs throughout Europe set their sights on the signature of the Canadian international, ahead of the expiration of his contract terms with Lille in the summer of 2025.
La Liga giants Barcelona, for one, are known to be keeping a close eye on David’s situation, after the attacker this week reiterated his hopes of one day lining out in the colours of the Blaugrana.
Deco and the Camp Nou transfer team are for their part yet to take any significant steps towards the signing of the 24-year-old, but are well informed on what would be required to strike a deal.
And, as alluded to above, on Saturday, an insight into as much has been forthcoming online.
As per a report from Sport:
‘The total cost would be about 80 million euros which would include the player’s salary for 4 years, the signing bonus and the commission derived from the signing.’
This is a sum considered as ‘high’ but not ‘unreasonable’ at Barcelona.
