Last night Atlético Madrid defeated Real Betis 2-1 in the 11th round of La Liga.
In his post-match interview that appeared on Marca, Diego Simeone praised his player’s approach to the game:
“Since Sevilla, we have found an improved attitude. When you have talent you need attitude. Attitude is more important than talent. The guys have put in a good performance. We will need the whole squad.”
“There are situations that we need to improve. It is clear that we have to talk amongst ourselves. We have the tools to improve them. We need to better what the team lacks in that final area. It’s our job as coaching staff,” he added.
The Argentine coach also highlighted the great performance of Antoine Griezmann:
“It seems that we are seeing the Griezmann who left, who leads the game. We need leaders. He understands his teammates and we are forming a good team spirit.”
