Speaking ahead of Atlético Madrid’s trip to Huesca on Wednesday, head coach Diego Simeone discussed the option of playing new signing Luis Suárez alongside Diego Costa.
“Diego is different to Luis, more runs out wide, into space. Suárez’s movements are shorter, inside the box, link-up play with his back to goal. Can they play together? Of course they can. The important thing is both give us all the fire they have.”
On Suárez, Simeone added: “He’s a player with a huge stature and history in the game that has arrived with humility and desperate to get started, and show on the pitch that he can be important for the team.”
