Details: The ‘mystery signing’ included in Barcelona’s budget

La Liga giants Barcelona included the details of an unnamed signing in their last financial accounts, released early last week.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Ibrahim Diarra as the player in question.

Diarra, for his part, is a 17-year-old winger, who shone during a trial period in Barcelona’s youth setup earlier this year.

The Malian international, who made a name for himself as the standout player at the U17 World Cup, is currently plying his trade on the books of African Foot.

This, however, will not prove to be the case for much longer…

African Foot have already announced that an agreement is in place for Diarra to make the move to Barcelona down the line.

Barca, on the other hand, are yet to release a statement regarding as much.

But this comes owing purely to the fact that Diarra is yet to turn 18. The understanding is that, once as much takes place in December, the young attacker will make the trip back to Catalunya, before being unveiled as a Blaugrana player.

In fact, this was more or less confirmed in the Camp Nou accounts for the year ahead, as per Sport:

‘In the section on debts to other clubs, there is a short-term debt to CPF Africa Foot of 190,000 euros, and more than a million and a half for Ibrahim Diarra, which would mean an amount close to 1.7 million euros.’
