Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has come to a decision on the future of another member of the club’s defensive ranks.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Iñigo Martínez as the player in question.
Stopper Iñigo, for his part, has long seen his future in Catalunya’s capital thrown up in the air.
As much comes with the Spaniard’s biggest supporter, in Xavi, having of course been sent on his way by the Barcelona brass earlier in the summer.
The 33-year-old’s place in the plans of replacement Hansi Flick, amid something of a logjam at the heart of defence in the Blaugrana’s squad, was in turn labelled as altogether more unclear.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media this weekend is anything to go by, then Iñigo need not fret.
This comes amid confirmation that Hansi Flick has decided to keep hold of the former Athletic Club standout.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘Flick is delighted with the Basque centre-back and has asked the club’s board to register him for the league debut against Valencia.’
