David García Euro 2024 involvement in doubt

As reported by Relevo, the worst omens have been confirmed for Osasuna’s David García. The centre-back was injured in the last league match against Rayo Vallecano due to to discomfort in his hamstring.

Scans revealed that the injury will sideline him for the coming weeks, and it’s unlikely that he will play again this season, although the club will make an attempt to shorten his time out.

This news is also a huge blow for Spain boss Luis de la Fuente, as the head coach always had García in his plans, but this new setback complicates his call up for Euro 2024. New tests will be carried out by the rojillo team to assess his progress, but his involvement in the European Championship in Germany remains doubtful.

In the recent friendlies against Colombia and Brazil, the 30-year-old could not attend due to injury and he was subsequently replaced by Daniel Vivian. He is the main candidate to replace the Navarrese due to his outstanding season.
