Former Manchester United and Spain star David de Gea has on Friday evening made use of the opportunity to poke fun at all associated with Man City.
This of course comes on a day to forget all told for the Sky Blues…
It was this afternoon officially confirmed that Manchester City have been found guilty of all but one of the club’s long-term charges relating to breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules.
The situation has sparked mass chatter across the world of football, as fans, media members and more speculate when it comes to the potential repercussions facing those in a position of power at The Etihad.
Some have gone as far as to suggest that Man City could be stripped of their recent Premier League titles, a punishment not seen in the English top-flight’s storied history.
And as alluded to above, taking advantage of such murmurs to poke fun at his former rivals this evening was none other than David de Gea. In a post on his official ‘X’ account, ex-Man United goalkeeper De Gea wrote:
