Dani Ceballos’ future at Real Madrid in doubt

AS report that Dani Ceballos’ future at Real Madrid is up in the air.

The Spanish midfielder has only played 75 minutes for Madrid this season. Only Mariano Díaz (54 minutes) and Jesús Vallejo (4′) have played less than the former Arsenal man.

After two years on loan at Arsenal, this was a key year for Ceballos. His contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2023. Looking at the lack of progress made this season, it’s difficult to imagine him being offered a new deal.

If nothing changes, Los Blancos could look to move him on. His two seasons as a Gunner earned him a good reputation in the Premier League, but a possible return to Real Betis has always been on the cards.

His current market value is €18m according to Transfermarkt.
