Dani Carvajal undergoes successful knee surgery

Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal has undergone successful knee surgery following the injury he suffered in last weekend’s match against Villarreal.

The operation took place under the supervision of the club’s medical team, in order to treat the torn ACL which Carvajal suffered in a clash with Yeremy Pino in the latter stages of the Villarreal match.

the right-back had gotten off to a good start to the season, having made eight appearances for Real Madrid in the opening stages of La Liga before the injury occurred.

Carvajal now begins his recovery, which will likely be a long period of time spent on the sidelines, possibly over a year.

Real Madrid’s medical team will be closely monitoring the 32-year-old’s recovery in order to get the defender back into playing action in as quick a manner as possible.

This news comes just a day after Carvajal visited his Spain teammates at their international camp, ahead of their match against Denmark on Saturday.

Everyone at GSFN wishes Dani Carvajal a speedy recovery and a quick return to action.
