Speaking to Movistar+ after Real Madrid beat Real Betis 1-0 on Saturday night, defender Dani Carvajal discussed the possible arrival of Kylian Mbappé.
Carvajal acknowledged that the signing of the French forward would be a great reinforcement “because he is a great player”.
“I think that, as the coach said, anything that strengthens the squad is good. Let’s see if he can come in and strengthen our team in the last few days of the transfer window because he’s a great player.“
Carvajal scored Madrid’s only goal in their 1-0 victory away to Betis and spoke about coming back after a frustrating few months out injured.
“After a tough period on a personal level, the celebration unleashes that anger and the work in the background that you do for a long time to come back and be right. I dedicate it to my wife and my daughter who have been there,” he said.
