Dani Carvajal discusses Kylian Mbappé’s potential impact on Real Madrid dressing room

Real Madrid star Dani Carvajal has today provided his take on why he feels the impending arrival of Kylian Mbappé at the club will not have any form of detrimental effect on team chemistry.

It is of course common knowledge that frontman Mbappé, at any moment, could be unveiled as the latest Galactico addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded squad.

Negotiations between the Real Madrid brass, and the France international’s entourage, have been ongoing for some time now, with a view to an agreement on the terms of a contract beginning in the summer.

This comes after Mbappé informed long-time employers Paris Saint-Germain of his intention to depart upon the conclusion of his deal at the Parc des Princes this coming June.

Speaking to the media this week, it therefore came as little surprise when the name of his incoming Blancos teammate was put to the aforementioned Dani Carvajal.

During an interview with Partidazo COPE, defender Carvajal was drawn on what kind of impact the arrival of another of world football’s standout talents could have in the dressing room at the Santiago Bernabéu, and whether he envisions any kind of jealousy developing on the part of his teammates.

The 32-year-old, however, was quick to shut down any such concerns, adamant that the more senior members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad are well equipped to deal with new arrivals:

“The arrival of Mbappé doesn’t generate jealousy. The people who have been at a club the longest are the ones in charge of making sure that in the locker room, everyone is going in the same direction. When one goes off the rails, a little bit, grab him by the ear.”
