In an interview with Sport, Dani Alves discussed Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland.
The Barcelona player explained that he would not do anything crazy to sign Haaland, but that he would make an effort for Mbappé.
“I wouldn’t spend a lot of money on him [Haaland]. On Mbappé yes, but not on Haaland. I’m playing sporting director, eh, but I’d go for Mbappé first. I think he’s more complete in every aspect. If you’re going to make a huge investment, you have to make it in the best. If it was up to me, I would go for Mbappé.”
Alves added that Barça should turn to the transfer market to strengthen their squad for next season.
“Football nowadays doesn’t give you time to wait for young players to develop. The sport demands the maximum from you right away, right now. However, I wouldn’t be in favour of spending a lot of money on certain players,” he said.
