Cristiano Ronaldo sends congratulatory message to Real Madrid, Vinícius replies

Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to social media on Wednesday, to send a message of congratulations to his former employers.

As much comes on a special day in the history of Los Blancos.

On this day in 1902, a full 122 years ago, Real Madrid were officially founded as a football club.

The capital giants have since gone on to establish themselves as one of the very best in history, with their exploits on the continent, in particular, unmatched by any other club.

Across the day to date, a whole host of ex-Real stars have in turn sent public messages of congratulations to the La Liga giants.

And, as alluded to above, front and centre in the Blancos love-in has been perhaps the greatest player to ever call the Santiago Bernabéu home – Cristiano Ronaldo.

Taking to his official ‘X’ and Instagram accounts this afternoon, hitman Ronaldo unveiled a photo of himself, fresh off clinching a fifth Champions League title, alongside the caption:

‘Congratulations on these 122 years of history, Madrid family! Hala Madrid!’

And quick to respond to the Portuguese’s IG post was a current member of Real’s attacking ranks, in the form of Vinícius Jr:
