Cristiano Ronaldo names 3 favourites for Champions League – including Real Madrid

Former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has this evening provided his take on which clubs he feels are best placed to compete for this season’s Champions League crown.

Frontman Ronaldo, of course, is well versed when it comes to exactly what is required to seal glory on the continent.

This comes with the Portuguese icon having lifted the Champions League on a hefty five occasions.

Four such successes, meanwhile, came whilst on the books of the aforementioned Real Madrid, across a remarkable five-year stretch between 2013 and 2018.

In turn, drawn on the subject of his favourites for the latest edition of the Champions League, it should come as little surprise to hear of Ronaldo naming Los Blancos as one of three frontrunners.

Speaking to the media on Friday evening, as cited by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Al-Nassr veteran first confirmed his opinion that reigning champions Manchester City are in with a real shot of retaining their crown:

“Manchester City have a good chance to win the Champions League again.”

From here, though, he added:

“Favorites? Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern…”
