Confirmed: Real Betis seal deadline day triple signing

A hectic night of business at La Liga outfit Real Betis has given rise to a trio of reinforcements for the 2nd half of the campaign.

First through the door at the Estadio Benito Villamarín, as confirmed in the buildup to the transfer deadline, comes Chimy Ávila.

The attacker has linked up with Manuel Pellegrini’s squad from top-flight rivals Osasuna, in a deal worth a rumoured €4 million.

Betis have since not made official either of their other two deadline day additions.

But the Verdiblancos faithful need not fret, with both having already been registered with La Liga for the remainder of the season.

The players in question? Pablo Fornals, and Cédric Bakambu.

The former has secured a return to his home country from West Ham United, in a transfer worth an initial €6 million, to be followed by a further €4 million in potential add-ons.

And, despite initial reports having pointed towards a loan, frontman Bakambu, too, is understood to have put pen to paper on permanent terms in Seville.

Like Ávila, the 32-year-old is expected to set Betis back around €4 million, in his arrival from Turkish giants Galatasaray.
