La Liga giants Barcelona have on Wednesday been dealt a blow on the transfer front.
This comes amid confirmation that Juventus star Federico Chiesa has come to the decision to take his talents to the Premier League.
Chiesa’s name of course emerged as an increasingly prominent one in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.
This came amid mounting reports that the Italian international – out of the project under Thiago Motta in Turin – had been identified as an ideal low-cost, high-reward signing by the brass at the Camp Nou.
Chiesa’s terms with Juventus are due to expire next summer, with the 26-year-old therefore available for a cut-price fee.
As alluded to above, however, whilst the versatile attacker will be lining out in new colours this coming season, as much will not come with Barcelona.
Instead, as confirmed by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa has agreed on the terms of a move to Premier League giants Liverpool:
‘Federico Chiesa to Liverpool, here we go! Agreement done for €13m initial fee with add-ons. Four year contract for Chiesa as new Liverpool player, set to fly later today.’
