A leading member of the summer transfer wishlist at La Liga giants Barcelona has this weekend been spotted in Catalunya’s capital.
The player in question? Xavi Simons.
The name of attacker Simons has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Barcelona across the day to date.
This comes after confirmation was forthcoming in the media that the Dutch international has been earmarked as something of a must-have on the part of Blaugrana head coach Xavi.
As per a report from Diario Sport, the Spanish tactician views Simons as boasting all of the attacking traits which he considers to be sorely lacking from his current squad.
First contacts between Barca sporting director Deco, and the Paris Saint-Germain board, have in turn been initiated regarding a potential summer deal.
It will therefore no doubt mark a source of interest for all associated with Barcelona to hear that, on Sunday, none other than Simons himself was spotted in Catalunya.
The one-time La Masia talent was seen in a cafe in the city, with the nature of his visit, as of yet, having not been revealed.
