Chelsea want João Félix at all costs

In a recent tweet by Fabrizio Romano, the Italian journalist reported that Chelsea wish to make João Félix a permanent part of their squad.

The player arrived at the London club on loan during the January transfer window from Atlético Madrid for €11m.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Atleti would want to recover a large part of the transfer fee which they originally paid for him, and so would not sell Félix for less than €100m.

The 23-year-old Portuguese forward currently has two goals in 12 games for Chelsea, who have been having a difficult season.

The Blues currently sit 11th in the Premier League, and while they are still in the Champions League, their upcoming match against Real Madrid will be a serious challenge.

The signing of João Félix will also depend on whoever is appointed as the new coach for the coming season. Having recently let go of Graham Potter, Chelsea are looking for a permanent manager.

Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique are the top candidates for the job.
