A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is the subject of big-money interest on the part of Premier League outfit Chelsea.
This comes amid the understanding that the Blues are readying a fresh offensive for the signature of Fermín López.
Spanish international Fermín has for his part been linked with a potential Stamford Bridge switch in the past, after Chelsea set their sights on his services back in the summer of 2025.
At the time, the capital club are understood to have offered up around €40 million to bring the 23-year-old to west London.
This time round, though, the Chelsea brass appear willing to part with a significantly more substantial sum. As per a report from Fichajes, citing El Nacional:
‘Chelsea are prepared to go all out and are preparing a new offer exceeding 100 million euros.’
It is also noted that any such transfer remains highly unlikely, with neither Barcelona nor Fermín himself interested in going their separate ways at this moment in time.
