Chaos in Barcelona as three sent off during PSG clash

A chaotic evening of action in Barcelona on Tuesday has culminated in no fewer than three members of the club’s playing and coaching being shown red cards.

Barca, of course, are currently locked in action on the continent.

In the 2nd leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs, the Blaugrana have welcomed French champions Paris Saint-Germain to Catalunya.

The evening’s hosts got off to the perfect start, upon Raphinha directing Lamine Yamal’s cross from the right home at the near post.

Safe to say, however, that things have since gotten out of hand for Xavi’s Barcelona, in something of a hurry…

First, Ronald Araújo was given his marching orders for a last-man foul on Bradley Barcola.

Then, PSG levelled things up on the night, through none other than former Blaugrana wide-man Ousmane Dembélé.

Vitinha’s wonderful strike then turned the matchup on its head early in the 2nd-half, before Xavi, too, was shown a red card for lashing out on the sideline.

A Kylian Mbappé spot-kick put the visitors in front on aggregate a short time later, before, incredibly, yet another red card was produced.

On this occasion it was Barca’s goalkeeper coach who was dismissed from the dugout, leaving the La Liga giants in serious trouble inside the closing stages at Montjuïc.
