Champions Spain handed tricky Nations League draw

The Spanish national team have this evening learned their fate for the upcoming edition of the Nations League.

The 2024/25 Nations League is set to kick into gear later this year, when Europe’s elite will be afforded their latest shot at glory in the bi-annual tournament.

Spain, for their part, will enter as reigning champions, after putting Croatia to the sword by way of a penalty shootout in last year’s finale.

Just who, though, will Luis de la Fuente’s troops be forced to navigate their way past in the opening group stage?

As much was made official a short time ago, by way of a draw held in the heart of Paris.

Spain have been placed in Group A4, alongside the trio of Denmark, Switzerland, and Serbia – a far from straightforward set of fixtures.

Elsewhere in the draw, 2021 champions France have been pitted against Italy, Belgium and Israel, whilst inaugural winners Portugal will take on Croatia, Scotland, and Poland.
