Atlético Madrid will be looking for their second victory in the group stage of the Champions League on Tuesday when they take on Bayer Leverkusen.
Diego Simeone will be without defenders José María Giménez and Stefan Savic and goalkeeper Jan Oblak remains a doubt. It will be Oblak who will decide tomorrow if he is available to take part in the game or, as he did against Celta Vigo, decide to pull out. Backup shot-stopper Ivo Grbic will have another chance if Oblak decides to not play.
As reported by AS, Axel Witsel will once again start in the heart of defence. Mario Hermoso will likely start alongside Witsel and Reinildo Mandava.
Koke and Marcos Llorente, who were rested against Celta, will return to the starting eleven. Thomas Lemar is the other absentee as well as Sergio Reguilón, who has not yet been able to make his Atlético debut and continues his rehabilitation in Madrid after undergoing an operation to correct a niggling groin issue.
João Félix, who was also rested against Celta, is expected to return to lead the line for Atleti.
The La Liga club won their opening game in the Champions League against Porto thanks to a 101st-minute goal from Antoine Griezmann.
Atlético will be confident of getting a result in Germany. Leverkusen sit in 17th place in the Bundesliga, collecting just four points from their opening six games.
