Champions League: How Real Madrid will play against Union Berlin

Carlo Ancelotti said ahead of Real Madrid’s clash against Union Berlin that he was going to make a few changes and that has been the case. The Italian coach only has left out Andriy Lunin, Antonio Rüdiger, Ferland Mendy, Toni Kroos and Brahim Díaz for tonight’s Champions League tie in Germany.

It looked like Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Fede Valverde could have been rested today, but Ancelotti will start them. Kroos will start on the bench and Dani Ceballos will take his place in midfield, while Luka Modric is back in the starting lineup. Striker Joselu has come in for Brahim, one of Real Madrid’s standout players in recent games.

Goalkeeper Kepa also returns to the starting eleven, while Nacho will partner David Alaba in the centre of defence and Fran García will feature at left-back.
