According to Marca, Celta Vigo are set to appoint Luis Campos as an external consultant.
The former sporting director of Lille and Monaco is expected to begin his second spell in Spain, after a brief stint at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho.
What remains to be seen is whether, with his arrival, Celta will also incorporate a sporting director, following the departure of Felipe Miñambres.
Campos is already working with Galatasaray and two other clubs as a consultant.
Newcastle United looked at his situation, and Real Madrid also considered the possibility of his return to Real Madrid last summer.
