Celta Vigo provide Javier Manquillo & Luca de la Torre injury updates

La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have on Monday provided updates on the wellbeing of two important members of the club’s first-team squad.

This comes after both picked up physical problems over the course of the weekend.

First up comes midfielder Luca de la Torre.

United States international De la Torre suffered a muscular issue in training on Saturday, since confirmed to be an injury to his left thigh.

As per an official statement across Celta Vigo’s website and social media platforms, the 25-year-old will in turn begin a treatment schedule over the international break, albeit with it currently unclear exactly when he is expected to return to matchday action.

The news regarding Javier Manquillo, on the other hand, is of a more positive nature.

Defender Manquillo was forced into an early departure from his side’s La Liga victory over Sevilla on Sunday, replaced by Carles Pérez with just 28 minutes on the clock.

And it has since been revealed that as much came owing to a fracture in his right wrist.

Though a painful blow, Manquillo will in turn ‘maintain normal activity using immobilization’, after being fitted with a cast over the days ahead.
