Casemiro compares incoming Kylian Mbappé to a Real Madrid legend

Former Real Madrid star Casemiro has admitted that incoming Blancos signing Kylian Mbappé reminds him of a player with whom he long shared the pitch in Spain’s capital.

Frontman Mbappé, of course, can for all intents and purposes be considered a Real Madrid player.

Amid long-running negotiations between the Frenchman’s entourage and the brass in Spain’s capital, a definitive agreement on the terms of a contract is understood to be imminent, with an official announcement to follow in short order.

This of course comes with the 25-year-old having already informed Paris Saint-Germain of his intention to bring a close to his stint with the club this summer.

So, what will Real Madrid be getting in their latest Galáctico addition?

An explosive attacker, boasting bags of pace, tricks, and a relentless thirst for goals, who does his best work cutting in from the left wing onto his trusty right foot.

Remind you of anyone?

Speaking during an interview with El Chiringuito TV this week, the aforementioned Casemiro was drawn on Mbappé’s impending arrival at his former club.

And the Brazilian was quick to compare the France international to a former teammate of his at the Santiago Bernabéu, in the form of none other than Cristiano Ronaldo:

“Mbappé reminds me of Cristiano,” Casemiro began. “He’s on the field, he’s smelling a goal. You have to be worried with this guy because he will score a goal. Cristiano was like that.”
