Carlo Ancelotti’s plan for Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti has used a 4-3-3 formation to win six titles with Real Madrid. Now, with Jude Bellingham in his squad, the Italian could switch to a 4-3-1-2 formation for the new season, according to AS.

Bellingham could feature in the No 10 role for Los Blancos and the report suggests that the Real Madrid coaching staff are already working on that formation ahead of 2023-24.

The England midfielder’s 14 goals at Borussia Dortmund last season is something that Ancelotti believes will help his XI going forward.

Madrid’s idea, without Karim Benzema, is to play Vinícius and Rodrygo as the front two. Real Madrid’s new No.7 and No.11 have just completed fine seasons, with Vinícius scoring 23 goals and Rodrygo netting 19.

Ancelotti’s original idea, as reported by AS, was for Harry Kane to be the club’s new No 9, with Kai Havertz as another option. However, getting the Tottenham captain or Chelsea forward would involve a significant financial effort similar to the €103m paid out for Bellingham.
