Carlo Ancelotti’s Jude Bellingham return plan revealed

An update on the plans of the coaching staff at Real Madrid to reintroduce Jude Bellingham into the club’s matchday setup has this evening been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Marca, who point towards midfielder Bellingham as inching towards an imminent return to the pitch.

The 20-year-old has of course been sidelined since early this month, after suffering an ankle injury in Real Madrid’s La Liga drubbing of Girona.

Bellingham, in turn, was pencilled in for a return date in early March.

And as much remains the likeliest scenario as things stand.

As per the aforementioned Marca, Carlo Ancelotti is hopeful of his side’s top scorer linking back up with the rest of his teammates in full training on Wednesday morning.

Should as much prove to be the case, Bellingham should be called up for Real’s weekend meeting with Valencia.

A place on the bench at the Mestalla looks the most likely scenario, with the participation of the former Borussia Dortmund man to be determined based on the pattern of the clash.

In the case of Bellingham not being risked for matchday duties at Valencia, he is certain to feature in Los Blancos’ ensuing outing, when they welcome Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig to the Santiago Bernabéu for the 2nd leg of the Champions League Last-16 tie between the clubs.
