As transcribed by AS, Ancelotti said: “It has been a very, very good season for us, and we are very close to achieving the maximum. We will try everything. The atmosphere is good, calm. This team manages these games very well; the veterans help the youngsters to maintain the good atmosphere, with ambition and confidence.”

When asked if Ancelotti himself was able to keep his nerves in check, the Italian replied: “I’m really enjoying my time at the club. I am very happy, very calm. I know some worry will come, but that is combated by looking at the faces of my players. They give me a lot of confidence.”

“I have good memories of my time in the blue part of Liverpool. I know that tomorrow they will be supporting us, because of their rivalry with Liverpool.”
