Carlo Ancelotti reveals his one selection ‘doubt’ for Real Madrid’s 2nd leg vs Man City

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he is yet to come to a decision on one major aspect of his starting XI for the club’s return meeting with Manchester City next week.

Real, of course, are fresh off a rip-roaring showdown with Premier League champions City on Tuesday night.

In the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final tie between the clubs, Los Blancos welcomed Pep Guardiola and co. to Spain’s capital, for a highly-anticipated clash.

And, safe to say, the ensuing 90 minutes did not at all disappoint, a shared six goals having ultimately given rise to a 3-3 stalemate.

En route to as much, Real Madrid were dealt a considerable blow on the personnel front, as Aurélien Tchouaméni was shown his latest yellow card.

As much means that the Frenchman will be suspended for the tie’s return leg at The Etihad in a week’s time.

So, with a spot having opened up beside Antonio Rüdiger at the heart of Carlo Ancelotti’s backline, who is likely to be given the nod in Manchester?

Speaking to the media post-match on Tuesday night, Real’s boss was drawn on precisely that.

And, in his response, Ancelotti went on to admit that he is yet to decide between captain Nacho, and the returning Éder Militão:

“Either Nacho or Militão will play at The Etihad, that’s my only doubt.”
