Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has moved to provide some reassurance to the club’s supporters.
This of course comes fresh off an evening to forget for Los Blancos on Wednesday.
After making the trip to the Basque Country for a La Liga meeting with Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic Club, Real found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 defeat.
All told, this marked the capital giants’ 4th defeat in seven across all competitions, amid a situation bordering on a crisis for a club of Real Madrid’s stature.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at San Mamés, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his side’s recent woes was put to Carlo Ancelotti.
And, in his response, Real’s headmaster went on to point towards the injury problems in his squad as playing a significant role, highlighting three players in particular as being ready to ‘improve our level’:
“We will recover Vinicius, Camavinga, Alaba and improve our level.”
