Carlo Ancelotti extends stay with Real Madrid – the details

After weeks of speculation, the club has confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti will remain with Los Blancos until 2026 after renewing his contract.

Although there had previously been rumours that the Italian was in line to take over the Brazil national team, who have been without a permanent manager since the sacking of Tite in December 2022, Ancelotti has always expressed his desire to remain at the club.

Many believed that Ancelotti was set to leave Madrid at the end of the season, but he has now been rewarded for his impressive start to the season (with his side in first place in La Liga) with a contract extension.

Should Ancelotti see out his contract in full, he will have completed five consecutive seasons at the club. During his current stint, he has won one Champions League, the Club World Cup, and the Copa del Rey, all of which he won in his previous stint as manager between 2013 and 2015, and a La Liga title, which he won for the first time in 2022.

Florentino Pérez and the rest of the hierarchy are said to be very happy with the Italian and value the feel-good atmosphere that ‘Carletto’ has brought to the club.

Ultimately, there was no reason to move on from a manager who has so far brought them great success and promises to do so again this season.
