Yesterday afternoon Real Madrid defeated Real Betis 2-1 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu thanks to goals from Rodrygo and Vinícius Júnior.
As pointed out by Mundo Deportivo, this was Carlo Ancelotti’s 133rd victory with Los Blancos, which has allowed him to become the club’s third most successful coach alongside Vicente del Bosque when considering the number of wins achieved with the side. He is only surpassed by Zinedine Zidane and Miguel Muñoz, who have 172 and 357 wins respectively.
The Italian coach is expected to surpass Del Bosque soon and may even break Zidane’s track record towards the end of the season if the club have an extraordinary campaign both domestically and in Europe.
He has won eight titles with Real Madrid, including the Champions League in 2014 and 2022.
Los Blancos will travel to Glasgow midweek to face Celtic in the first round of the Champions League group stage before hosting Mallorca at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on the weekend.
