Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that a leading member of his attacking ranks is primed to return to matchday duties on Sunday.
The player in question? Rodrygo.
Frontman Rodrygo has for his part been sidelined since prior to the international break.
This comes after the Brazilian international was forced to limp out of Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Osasuna.
Los Blancos have since endured a hit-and-miss time of things, getting the better of Leganés, before slipping to defeat at the hands of Liverpool.
All associated with the Spanish champions will, in turn, no doubt be delighted to hear of Rodrygo preparing for an imminent return to the fray.
Speaking to the media on Saturday afternoon, Carlo Ancelotti was asked for the latest on the fitness situation in his squad.
And Real’s headmaster went on to confirm that Rodrygo is back available for selection to face Getafe:
“Rodrygo is back tomorrow.”
