Carlo Ancelotti asked Real Madrid for signings of 3 Premier League stars before exit confirmation

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti had identified a trio of Premier League players as the perfect additions to his squad, prior to being informed of his impending exit.

That’s according to Radio MARCA, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the situation.

Ancelotti, of course, is currently preparing to bring a close to his latest stint in the dugout in Spain’s capital.

Amid a hugely challenging term to date, which looks set to end trophyless for Real Madrid, club and manager have made the call to part ways upon the close of the La Liga campaign.

Not long ago, though, Ancelotti was already putting plans in place for next season.

Not only that, but the legendary tactician had informed the board at the Santiago Bernabéu of his desired summer targets to reinforce his squad.

As per Radio MARCA:

‘The two players Ancelotti requested for the central midfield were Mac Allister, a Liverpool player, and Sandro Tonali, an Italian from Newcastle. He also asked for William Saliba (Arsenal) as a central defender.’
