Carlo Ancelotti admits key Real Madrid star could be rested vs Valencia

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he is considering leaving a star member of the club’s midfield on the bench in the club’s next outing.

The player in question? Jude Bellingham.

Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action on Saturday evening.

Fresh off booking their spot in the Copa del Rey final at the expense of Real Sociedad in midweek, Los Blancos will turn attentions back towards matters in La Liga.

A meeting with relegation-battling Valencia lies in wait, at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Speaking to the media in the buildup to the fixture, the subject of potential rotation in his XI was in turn put to Carlo Ancelotti.

Real will be forced to see out another altogether high-profile matchup just three days on from tomorrow’s Valencia clash, when they make the trip to north London for a Champions League face-off with Arsenal.

And Los Merengues’ headmaster therefore admitted that, on Saturday, Jude Bellingham could be afforded some much-needed rest:

“It could be an option to give him a rest.”
