Bryan Zaragoza makes Spain debut after impressive performances in La Liga

Spain winger Bryan Zaragoza made his international debut in his country’s 2-0 win over Scotland on Thursday.

“I would like to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. It’s been a very special day for me to make my debut in my homeland, in Andalucía,” the 22-year-old Granada player said in words transcribed by Marca.

On what Spain boss Luis de la Fuente asked of him

“The coach asked me to get crosses in and that’s what I’ve tried to do. When you play with players of such a high level, everything is much easier. From the first day, I settled very well into the group because they welcomed me and made it very easy for me.”

On making Spain debut

“I have worked all my life for this and I was prepared for the moment. It’s a dream and I’ve worked hard to get here. I didn’t expect it so quickly but it has happened like this.”
