Brahim on target, youngster bags two assists: Real Madrid start pre-season with 3-0 win

La Liga giants Real Madrid kicked their pre-season fixture list into gear on Wednesday, courtesy of a comfortable victory.

That’s according to Blancos insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, who has provided an insight into the details of a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Ahead of departing for their pre-season tour of the USA this weekend, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad this evening faced off with Albacete at Valdebebas.

A mix of high-profile first-team stars, and academy talents, played their part in an eventual 3-0 rout.

The most notable names from the former category came in the form of Thibaut Courtois, Lucas Vázquez, Fran García, Dani Ceballos, and Brahim Díaz.

The latter, meanwhile, was on target during the first-half, as was the transfer-linked Juanmi Latasa, both teed up by midfield talent Nico Paz.

After being introduced at the interval alongside shot-stopper Andriy Lunin, forgotten loanee Reinier then rounded out the scoring in a 3-0 result in Spain’s capital.
