Brahim in & a new role for Valverde: Real Madrid’s predicted XI to face Leganés

The line-up expected to be made use of by Real Madrid in the club’s upcoming La Liga meeting with Leganés has on Wednesday been unveiled.

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real are primed to mark their return to action on the back of the international break this weekend.

With hopes of building on a 4-0 drubbing of Osasuna last time out, Los Blancos will make the trip to The Estadio Municipal Butarque, for a meeting with the aforementioned Leganés.

In the buildup to the clash, much of the chatter amongst fans and the media alike has centered on the plans of Ancelotti and his staff for Real Madrid’s starting XI.

This comes amid something of a personnel crisis in Spain’s capital at present.

In their last outing alone, Los Merengues saw all of Éder Militão, Lucas Vázquez and Rodrygo added to the club’s absentee list.

With Aurélien Tchouaméni, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal and Thibaut Courtois on the treatment table, too (the latter is expected to return this weekend), the coaching staff at Valdebebas will in turn be forced to get creative versus Leganés.

And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, an insight into as much has been provided.

As per a report from The Athletic, amongst the highlights of Real Madrid’s XI on Sunday will be Federico Valverde at right-back, Raúl Asencio at the heart of defence, a Luka Modrić-Eduardo Camavinga pivot, and Brahim Díaz stepping back in in attack.
