Brahim Díaz beats out the competition to bag latest Real Madrid award

Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz has on Friday seen his stellar recent efforts on the pitch recognised by the club’s fanbase.

This comes amid confirmation that the diminutive midfielder has secured for himself the award for Real Madrid Player of the Month for February.

Díaz, for his part, lined out for Los Blancos on no fewer than six occasions last month, four of which came from the off.

And, across this stretch, he notched a pair of goals, including, most notably, a stunning individual effort en route to his side’s Champions League Last-16 first-leg downing of RB Leipzig.

His other strike, meanwhile, ensured that Real departed the latest edition of the Madrid Derby with a share of the spoils.

Goals aside, though, the 24-year-old’s all-round contribution to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has long been of the highest standard.

Looking a player reborn since his return to Spain’s capital from Italian giants AC Milan, Díaz has added a whole new element of guile and unpredictability to Real’s ranks in the final third.

In turn, he has on Friday beaten out the stiff competition to the club’s latest Player of the Month prize.

This comes as the Spaniard’s 2nd since returning to the Santiago Bernabéu, after he was also voted Los Merengues’ best player in December.
