Borussia Dortmund remain hopeful of landing Real Madrid star Achraf Hakimi

Speaking to Kicker, Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted the German club don’t expect a decision on Achraf Hakimi’s future until Real Madrid’s league season is finished.

Hakimi is currently coming to the end of his successful two-year loan spell in the Bundesliga, however Dortmund are not giving up hope of a permanent transfer for the 21-year-old. “There will definitely be no decision before the Spaniards have ended the season.”

BVB Sporting director Michael Zorc added: “The possibility [to buy] is still open. We can still imagine Hakimi at BVB. But I stick to the facts – Achraf has a contract with Madrid.”
