Borussia Dortmund keen for Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi to stay

Borussia Dortmund want Real Madrid full-back, Achraf Hakimi, to stay on at the end of the season and will discuss the possibility with Madrid once football resumes, according to AS.

Achraf joined Dortmund on a two-year loan deal which finishes at the end of the current season, however it has been reported that the Bundesliga club want to extend the Moroccan defender’s stay in Germany. Talks with Madrid would focus on extending the loan agreement or completing a transfer to make the 21-year-old stay on permanently. What is still unknown is the desire of the player himself.

Achraf is currently under contract at Real until 2022, but a new deal would extend that to 2025.
